Production Car 001 • One 2027 build slot
Arma Automotive is accepting applications to work with one approved customer on the first production ARMA ZEN after the prototype. The selected customer will fund and receive the completed vehicle built to a final written specification.
This is a low-volume, customer-funded development and construction project—not a reservation for a mass-produced vehicle. The production process, documentation, tooling, and build methods will be refined as Production Car 001 is completed.
Working commercial draft — for discussion and lawyer review. This page describes the current commercial concept. It is not a completed sale, manufacturing, financing, warranty, or reservation contract. No application, payment, or discussion guarantees acceptance of the applicant or the production slot.
The 2027 slot is for one financially qualified customer who wants to be involved in the first production ARMA ZEN build. Arma will review the applicant, intended use, selected specification, funding capacity, schedule, and regulatory path before accepting the project in writing.
The customer receives the first production car built to the final agreed specification. Arma retains the right to use general project learning, manufacturing knowledge, and non-confidential improvements in future vehicles and products.
The ARMA ZEN is a UBilt vehicle. The base specification does not include airbags. The vehicle has not been crash tested by Arma to MVSS, CMVSS, or equivalent crash-test standards. Engineering simulations, including possible side-impact or roof-crush analysis, are engineering tools only; they are not physical crash tests, government certifications, or guarantees of crash-test compliance.
The proposed build location is British Columbia, Canada. Inspection, VIN assignment, registration, insurance, and legal road use depend on the applicable authorities, insurers, and the jurisdiction where the vehicle will be registered. Arma does not provide insurance or guarantee that an insurer will offer coverage.
The customer must understand and accept these limitations before an application is accepted. Any other province, state, or country requires a separate review of inspection, registration, insurance, import, export, tax, and transportation requirements.
The preliminary base configuration includes:
The final project package is expected to include a bill of materials, Arma-designed and fabricated parts, options and exclusions, materials and used-component disclosures, and a milestone checklist. Equivalent substitutions may be used when necessary to keep the agreed base specification serviceable and available.
The A8 V8-powered configuration is the default configuration covered by the $99,900 CAD base price. An A12 V12-powered vehicle is not a simple engine option. It may require changes to mounts, cooling, exhaust, fuel, electrical systems, engine management, driveline, brakes, suspension, body, chassis, inspection, and testing.
An A12 configuration would require separate written feasibility, pricing, schedule, payment, warranty, and regulatory terms. Arma may decline the A12 configuration, and there is no automatic substitution to an A8 configuration unless that change is confirmed in writing.
The fixed base price for ARMA ZEN Production Car 001 in the agreed A8 specification is $99,900 CAD. It covers the integrated design, development, fabrication, procurement, assembly, commissioning, documentation, and delivery scope defined in the final agreement—not an ownership interest in individual parts or work in progress.
Unless the final contract states otherwise, taxes, registration, licensing, insurance, inspection and government fees, freight or storage, customs and brokerage, financing fees, customer upgrades, and extraordinary requirements are excluded.
| Milestone | Proposed amount |
|---|---|
| Reservation and slot acceptance; refundable for 60 days after Arma acceptance | $10,000 |
| Final specification, BOM, and design freeze; target late 2026 | $15,000 |
| Chassis/frame substantially fabricated | $20,000 |
| Rolling chassis with powertrain, suspension, brakes, and steering functional | $20,000 |
| Body, paint, interior, and systems substantially complete | $20,000 |
| Applicable inspection passed and VIN assigned | $10,000 |
| Final punch list, documentation, and delivery | $4,900 |
| Total proposed A8 base price | $99,900 |
The payment schedule is proposed and must be converted into a lawyer-reviewed agreement with objective milestone checklists, due dates, title and risk terms, cancellation treatment, and customer-fund protections before money is accepted.
The project is intended for a serious, financially qualified customer. Proof of funds or financing capacity may be required. A transfer or replacement buyer would require Arma's approval, qualification, and a written assignment.
The schedule is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date. It depends on final specification approval, staged payments, component availability, development work, testing, customer decisions, and inspection or authority scheduling. The draft proposes a March 31, 2028 long-stop date for the final agreement, with remedies and extensions to be defined by counsel.
This is the first production vehicle after the prototype. Arma may refine chassis details, body panels and moulds, suspension and brake mounts, cooling, exhaust, fuel and electrical systems, interior components, manufacturing methods, tooling, suppliers, and inspection documentation. Material changes will be communicated and approval sought when they materially affect appearance, function, performance, safety, price, or schedule.
After a written specification freeze, customer-requested changes may require additional payment, replacement of purchased parts, engineering or testing, and a revised delivery estimate. No change is approved unless Arma confirms it in writing. Arma may decline changes that create unacceptable safety, engineering, regulatory, supplier, schedule, or warranty risk.
The vehicle will be hand-built by a small team and may not have the fit, finish, refinement, noise isolation, weather sealing, panel consistency, or convenience features of a high-volume OEM vehicle. The base paint is hand-applied, and the base chassis coating is not powder coating. Professional body paint or powder coating may be considered separately at additional cost.
For the intended British Columbia pathway, the proposed completion line is construction complete, the applicable BC safety inspection for road use passed by a designated inspection facility, the required VIN process completed, and the delivery documentation provided for the customer to pursue insurance and registration.
The inspection authorities and insurer—not this page or the final commercial draft—determine whether the vehicle may be registered, insured, and operated on public roads. Arma will provide reasonable cooperation with documentation and inspection preparation within the agreed scope, but does not guarantee registration or insurance in any jurisdiction.
The proposed warranty is a limited 12-month workmanship warranty beginning at delivery and acceptance. Subject to the final contract, it covers defects in materials or workmanship in the Arma-manufactured chassis/frame structure and Arma-manufactured body panels and their structural attachment points.
The proposed warranty does not cover collision, misuse, neglect, racing or track use, unauthorized modifications, normal wear, external corrosion or environmental damage, or accepted hand-finish characteristics such as orange peel, dust nibs, runs, texture variation, colour variation, and minor panel-gap variation.
The used engine and transmission are represented as usable at delivery but are not new or fully reconditioned components. Arma does not warrant their remaining service life or internal failure, subject to rights that cannot legally be excluded. Third-party components are covered only by any transferable supplier warranty.
The final agreement is expected to authorize Arma to photograph and video Production Car 001 and publish general build progress, milestones, specifications, testing, and delivery footage. This does not authorize publication of the customer's name, address, contact information, likeness, or other identifying information without separate written permission, except where required by law or agreed in the final contract.
Arma retains its designs, drawings, CAD files, software, tooling, moulds, manufacturing methods, documentation, trade secrets, inventions, and accumulated know-how. Sale of the completed vehicle does not transfer Arma's manufacturing process, CAD files, tooling, plans, or rights to reproduce the vehicle.
The final documents should define the vehicle specification, payment milestones, title and risk, inspection and VIN process, delivery, warranty, customer changes, cancellation, payment default, customer-fund treatment, insurance, public documentation, intellectual property, governing law, and any applicable consumer-protection rights.
The draft specifically identifies British Columbia consumer-contract, distance-sale, future-performance, motor-dealer, tax, registration, and insurance issues for lawyer review. The commercial intention described here must not be treated as a binding offer or as a substitute for the final signed agreements.
