This document outlines the steps involved in building and registering a custom built vehicle in BC. This involves ensuring that the vehicle meets safety standards, working with ICBC the insurance agency which issues vehicle registrations, having an inspection done at a facility registered with the CVSE the provincial vehicle safety authority and an insurance agency. This document is a work in progress but reflects the progress after getting a vehicle inspected and on the road.
