Large-Scale Metal 3D Printing
Steel chassis. Aluminum bodies. A new manufacturing focus for ARMA Automotive.
We are developing a large-scale metal 3D printing service using wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM), with a focus on steel chassis and aluminum vehicle bodies. This will be a key area of our work as we expand our design and manufacturing services.
What Is WAAM?
WAAM uses an electric arc to melt metal wire, building a metal part layer by layer. The process follows a digital model and deposition toolpaths, bringing 3D printing into larger metal fabrication projects.
Steel Chassis
Our steel printing focus is chassis structures and related components. We welcome enquiries from builders and designers who want to explore how their chassis concepts could be developed for additive manufacturing.
Aluminum Bodies
Our aluminum printing focus is vehicle bodies and body sections. We are interested in projects that connect digital body design with a large-scale metal printing workflow.
From Design to a Printing Plan
Early project discussions can cover CAD geometry, material choice, part dimensions, build orientation, deposition planning, and the machining or surface finishing needed after printing. We will review the proposed application and agree on the project scope before work begins.
Service Development
This service is in development. Contact us to discuss a potential project or register your interest. Project suitability, available materials, build size, pricing, and delivery timing will be confirmed during review.
Discuss a WAAM Project
Tell us whether you are planning a steel chassis or aluminum body, the approximate dimensions, what CAD files or drawings you have, and your intended timeline.
