5-Axis CNC Routing Software

ADS enables fast, accurate design and manufacturing of contoured surface projects using cost-effective CNC routing on both 3-axis and 5-axis head-head (B/C) machines. You can model projects directly in ADS or import existing designs and generate production ready CNC G-code for fabrication.

For 5-axis workflows, ADS uses a proven 3+2 machining approach, allowing precise control of router orientation by defining tool angles for each machining pass. This delivers reliable results while keeping programming efficient and predictable on head-head B/C platforms.

Hardware

ADS 5 Axis software generates tool cutting paths for four and five axis (Double Pivot) Head - Head B/C type machines which is a specific subset of available machines. ADS 5 Axis software does not support machines based on pitching swivel head, pitching work table, rotary table Pivoting Spindle Head type.

Arma has built a custom 5 Axis HEAD-HEAD B/C router to cut blocks of foam measuring 4x8x2 feet and also be small enough to fit in an eight foot ceiling hight shop with the ability to transport it through a garage door. We plan on publishing plans to recreate this machine for others to replicate. More details will be available soon.
